Bricklaying

Sam quoted quickly and was approachable to discuss ways to proceed. Scaffolding went up lickety split (arranged by Sam via another company), and Harrison and team turned up to begin power-tooling the concrete render off the worst two walls on my detached house. What could have been a worrying and troublesome period was made about as good as it could be by Harrison and the workmen themselves. They were thoughtful, interested, careful with our property and seemingly genuinely keen to make a positive difference to the house. The phase where the damaged walls were laid bare - wet pointing, damaged bricks, horrible window surrounds with holes and foam, was the worst, but I was encouraged by the lads that this was not the worst they had encountered, and gradually, with replacement bricks and lime pointing, the house started to look solid again. The interior walls are already less cold, and we feel happier that no more damage is being done to the fabric of the building. The cost was substantial, but when you look at the man-hours, materials and tools used, I’d say it was very fair. I’d have these guys back in a heartbeat.

Sam & his team helped fix damp issues on my Victorian home the proper way - replacing external concrete ground with a shingle-lined trench & membrane, removing ground level cement render, replacing damaged bricks & repointing with lime. Totally professional, efficient & would fully recommend!

Really pleased with work that Prestige Brickwork did to my property. They were up against bad weather on the days they were working but they cracked on & managed to get finished on time. The work was of a high standard & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Prestige Brickwork repointed my Victorian terrace and replaced several damaged bricks. I had a great experience with them, and couldn’t have been happier with the work. The team were lovely – very polite, tidy and considerate – and did a fantastic job which has drawn many compliments from my neighbours! (I particularly liked their attention to the detailing in the brickwork which has brought out all the patterning around the windows.) Sam provided a fair quote and dealt with all my queries promptly and helpfully, explaining different options and making sure the process and pricing were clear throughout. I will definitely use Prestige for any similar jobs in the future and would highly recommend them to others – I only wish I had known about them sooner!

This company made a poor excuse why they didn't turn up on the arranged date. A new date was fixed. I phoned them to confirm and was assured they would be here at 8 a.m. Sharp the next day. But at 8 o'clock the evening before I got a message to say they weren't starting the next day dont trust them.

Friendly team with great attention to detail and a professional finish. Very accommodating, clean, and thorough throughout the brickwork restoration. Would happily recommend them to anyone needing quality work.

Sam and the team at Prestige are fantastic. Had them back for the second time to do another strip out and repointing of an exterior wall and it looks fantastic. It was in a neighbour's garden and they left the area spotless. The whole team is polite, respectful and take real pride in their work. He put extra people on the team and the whole job was complete in a day to minimise disruption. Can't recommend them highly enough.

Booked Prestige Brickwork to repoint some brickwork on my house with lime mortar and, because I was very happy with his work, also asked him to repoint my fireplace - see before and after pictures below. Sam always responded promptly to text messages and arranged for scaffolding to be taken down at a later date to accomodate the contractors who followed him, who were delayed. Good work, good value and very helpful.

Fabulous company to do business with. Gave good guidance on what work needed to be done and what was aesthetically pleasing. Workforce were extremely polite and just cracked on with the work. I called Sam round to provide a quote to repoint our house. When he arrives he ran through what needed doing and what looked okay. There were some really badly worn parts of the house (particularly at the front where it is more exposed to the weather being south facing). Ultimately, he could have said it all needed doing and I would have been none the wiser. The quote came in a timely manner and was less than expected as we thought the whole house might need doing, so that was a pleasant surprise. That was just the initial process. When it came to doing the work, Sam was really helpful in bringing the work forward by a couple of days due to an unexpected event in my own work meaning I couldn't be there on the originally planned date. The team worked really hard over the 2 days and nothing was too much trouble. My outside tap didn't work and my neighbour allowed them to use hers. As a gesture of goodwill, they did a little patchwork on her garage wall. Their attention to detail was excellent too. All in all a very positive experience and now my house looks the newest in the street! People are often stopping to look at it. I would highly recommend Prestige Brickworks.
